The Association for the Promotion of Green Building Culture is based in Vienna and operates throughout Austria, Europe, and internationally. The establishment of branch associations is not intended. The association exclusively pursues non-profit purposes in accordance with the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (Bundesabgabenordnung) and is not profit-oriented.

  1. The scientific association, which is non-profit in nature, is committed to research and adult education. It aims to promote scientific activity and the dissemination of knowledge related to strategies and measures in the field of sustainable construction, as well as the networking of businesses within the green sector.
  2. Operating and promoting scientific and applied research, especially in the fields of planning and construction sciences, engineering disciplines, as well as crafts and technology.
  3. Advancing digitalization in the above-mentioned areas.
  4. Promoting sustainability and the circular economy in planning and construction processes.
  5. Providing continuing education for individuals and institutions working in planning and construction sciences, engineering, crafts, and technology.
  6. Networking professionals and institutions involved in planning, construction, execution, as well as the technical maintenance and operation of green, grey, and blue infrastructure.
  7. Promoting the participation of girls and women in these fields.
  8. Exchanging knowledge with colleagues at schools, universities, universities of applied sciences, public authorities, and in the private sector. Supporting international collaboration and networking.
  9. Creating space for cultural and artistic representation of the above-mentioned fields.
  10. A key focus of the association is the promotion and advancement of interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary approaches.
